The CPA survey was launched in November 2006 to measure the possible of impact of LMRA labour fees on consumer prices, by comparing price changes before and after the implementation of the new labour fees. The results have shown that consumer prices have actually been influenced mostly by imported items, governed by world markets, with almost no noticeable effect of the additional 10 BD LMRA monthly fees on foreign labour. For this reason, LMRA has decided to limit from now on the release of its price data to the CPI index compiled on a monthly basis by CIO.
